Winifred "Winnie" Lee Custer, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her children, Peggy Newman and husband Clifford and Lanon O. Baker, Jr. and wife Bette; grandchildren, Bobby Newman, Debbie Newman, DeeDee Neil and husband Cody; great grandchildren, Clayton Newman and wife Cathy, Casey Newman, and Logan Miller; great-great grandson, Jackson Wayne Newman; niece, Patricia Gayle Bilir; nephews, Jim Moore and wife Cathy and Mike Moore and wife Debbie; also numerous other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Sunday, December 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Southside Chapel at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, December 2nd. Interment will follow at San Fernando III Cemetery. The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Heights Nursing Home in Pleasanton, TX for their kindness and love given to Winnie. Also, a special thank you to Rosie Lopez and Pat Humphrey for their continued love and support.
