William Daniel Prewitt, Jr. William Daniel Prewitt, Jr. was born on 29, September 1926 in Konawa, OK and died on 30, January 2015 in San Antonio, TX of complications from congestive heart failure. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Daniel Prewitt, Sr. and Dessie Opal Prewitt Shaefer, wife Patricia Ann Hollingsworth, Grand-parents and Step-Father, H. L. Shaefer. In loyal military service to the United States, he enlisted into the US Navy October, 1943, followed by enlisting into the USAF in June, 1948 where he retired from active duty as a Staff Sergeant-E5 in June, 1966. In December, 1975, he retired from the USAF Reserve. Bill was a 25+ year member of Harlandale Masonic Lodge as well as the Order of the Sons of Hermann in San Antonio. He is survived by his brother, H. Larry Shaefer and wife, Judy, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 5 great-nieces and 3 great-nephews. The family is grateful for the special care Bill received at St. Luke's Baptist Hospital (ARU & ICU units) and his helpful & loving neighbors in San Antonio, TX. A visitation will be held by the family at Southside Funeral Home 6301 S. Flores, San Antonio, 5-7pm, 12 February, 2015. The graveside service will be at 10am- 13 February, 2015 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209, Section 19, Site 415.
