Virgil G. Massey's Obituary
Virgil G. Massey, formerly of Clovis, NM passed away in Floresville, TX on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the age of 83 years. He was a member of the Santa Fe Railroad for over 50 years. Virgil was very athletic, excelling in track. He enjoyed golf, fishing, farming, dune buggies, and drinking. Virgil is survived by his wife, Gloria G. Massey; daughter, Elaine Baker; son, Earl Massey and wife Maria; sisters, Laverne Pulliam and her husband Dale, Dorothy Hughes and her husband Garland; sister-in-law, Marie Massey; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons, Ronnie and Ted Massey; brothers, Delbert Massey, Winford Massey and his wife Mary; sister, Geneva Richardson and her husband Walt. Visitation for Virgil will be held on Thursday, December 17th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 18th at 9:30 a.m. at Southside Funeral Home, followed by interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
