Victor S.
Morales
Jul 28, 1925 — Aug 5, 2019
My loving granddad Victor S. Morales, went to heaven on the evening of August 5, 2019. He passed sweetly in his dreams.
He was born on July 28, 1925 to Antonio and Isabel Morales in Devine, Texas. He was a profound musician in his younger years and continued playing well into his 60's. Granddad first picked up the accordion and played it for 7 years in a conjunto with his brothers in Racine Wisconsin. He sold his accordion and purchased a saxophone in 1952. He played around the US in places such as Miami, Orlando, Chicago, Milwaukee, Denver and cities in Minnesota. His last performance was in 1991 at the Fiesta Night Club in San Antonio at the age of 66.
GrandDad had many hobbies and could fix almost anything. He was a great cook and always shared what he had with anyone who stopped by. He spread his wisdom to his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be most remembered by the suspenders he wore and the hats/caps he always had to have. His last years were spent with his family on a small ranch on Southton Road in San Antonio, Texas. We will miss the many times we sat porch talking or around the winter bonfires. You will be sorely missed granddaddy.
A private memorial will be conducted at a later date. Please contact Sandra Jacobs at 210-552-4720 for more information.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to the Kenedy Health and Rehabilitation Center in Kenedy Texas.
