Susana D. Zapata's Obituary
Susana D. Zapata was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 28, 2018 at the age of 60 years. She enjoyed listening to music and exercising. Susana loved taking care of her son, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Encarnacion Zapata and brother, Fred Zapata. Susana is survived by her son, Josh Rodriguez (Joanna), granddaughters, Juliet, Violet, and Elliott Rodriguez; mother, Mary Zapata; sisters, Mary Huerta (Roger), Imelda Garcia (Gerardo), Marcie Estrada (James), Rachel Alvarez (Emeterio); brothers, Joe Zapata (Jo), Tomas Zapata (Carrie), George Zapata (Chayo), Dan Zapata, Jerry Zapata (Laura), Eloy Zapata (Diana), Steve Zapata; also numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Friday, February 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Services will conclude Friday evening. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Susana's name can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave. 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
