Shirley S. Jochman

Shirley S. Jochman, 83, died at her home in San Antonio, TX Wednesday, November 21. Shirley was born January 22, 1935 to Orin and Elsie (Puttkamer) Burton in Baraboo, WI. She was united in marriage to Roger Baumgartner on July 31, 1955. They had five children and lived in Merrimac WI most of their married life together. She married Don Jochman September 12, 1980; they moved to San Antonio shortly after they married.

Shirley was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda in 1967, Roger in 1972 and Don in 2014; brother Chet Burton and sister, Bea McGuan.

Shirley is survived by four children; Mike (Diane), Baraboo, WI; Cindy Diehl, Boerne, TX; Tom, San Antonio, TX and Mark, San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren: Jeremy Baumgartner, Jessica (Josh) Kramer, Myndi Allen, Stephanie Allen (Dusty) Knott, Cody Zuniga, T.J. Baumgartner & Kristina (Jack) Burgess; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by many life-long friends and other relatives.

She loved her family, her friends, her church and every baby that she came across. Her favorite past time was hunting treasures at yard sales and collecting unique chicken/rooster décor. She looked forward to traveling to Wisconsin each summer to spend a few weeks with family and old friends. She will be remembered in our hearts forever.

Funeral services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 14819 Jones Maltsberger, San Antonio, TX on Saturday, December 8th at 11 am. Southside Funeral Home, San Antonio, TX (southsidefh.com) is assisting the family.
