Rudy Bustos was a man with an unwavering, lighthearted spirit. He was born November 8, 1954, and passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015, at the age of 61, with his family by his side.
He spent his whole adult life employed in the social services industry, and was very proud of the work he did that helped his community. He spent many years at the Texas Workforce Center, and Center for Health Care Services where he worked as a Case Manager. He was a family man with a big heart, and a devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Olga Bustos. Him and Olga met when they were young and free in their twenties. Their love continued throughout his life and continued to flourish, growing into the kind of love that writes it's own love story. He had three children; Melanie (Bustos) Salinas, Laura Bustos, and Ryan Bustos. His brother Randy Bustos, sister-in-law Eva Bustos, and their daughter Alexis, were a constant beacon of love in his life. He also has three grandbabies; Scarlett Rose, June Ivy, and Lennon Richard Salinas, and son-in-law, Ricardo Salinas, Jr. He is preceded in death by his beautiful parents, Rudolfo and Elena Bustos, and we know he is reveling up in Heaven with them.
Funeral services will be held at Southside Funeral Home on 6301 S. Flores, San Antonio, TX 78214, on Friday, December 11, 2015. Visitation will be from 9am-1pm, with Funeral service to begin at 10am.
