Rosemary A. Mercado entered into Eternal Rest on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the age of 78 years.  She was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 9, 1941 to Paul and Frances Araiza.  Rosemary worked for many years with Parent Child Inc.  She was a very loving mother and grandmother.  Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Frances Araiza and her brother, Alfred Araiza.  She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Erasmo Mercado; son, Eddie Mercado (Viola Lopez); sisters, Anita Ayala (Aurelio), Yolanda Araiza, Amelia Burciaga (Vicente), Alice Felan (Reuben), Corina Cabrerra (Frank); brother, Paul Araiza (Louisa); grandchildren, Eddie, Alex, Clarinda; great grandchildren, Celine, Eyan, Saiyan.  Visitation will be held at South Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 12th from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Thursday, June 13th at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in San Fernando II Cemetery.
