Robert A. Leija went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the age of 82 years. He was preceded in death by his Mother Maria Amador; Brothers Henry and David Leija. Robert was an avid reader, he enjoyed reading the bible and sharing God's word. He was also a hard worker and a good provider for his family. He is survived by his Wife Juanita Leija of fifty-two years of marriage; Children Johnny Esquivel (Julie), Antonio Leija (Liliana), Maricela Alvarez (Alfredo), Robert Leija Jr. (Lori) ; Grandchildren Joshua Esquivel (Kayla), Marissa Schottle (Adam), Samuel Esquivel, Jody Leija, Joshua Leija, Amanda Santos, Mario Mendez, Madeline Mendez, Jeremy Leija, Robert Leija III (Alianna), Hannah Leija, Timothy Leija, David Leija; Great-Grandchildren Asuka Esquivel, Nehemiah Garcia, Asher Schottle, Aria Santos, Ayden Santos, Apolonio Santos, Camilla Mendez, Valentina Mendez, Zayden Leija, Robert Leija IV, Liam Leija, Riley Leija. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Destiny Community Church, 142 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78237 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will depart on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Destiny Community Church for a 12:00 p.m. graveside service to be held at Mission Burial Park South.
