Richard G. Hilbig, went into eternal rest on October 20, 2021. He was born on August 22, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas. Richard is now reunited with his mother, Betsy G. Avila. And Father, John Hilbig. His grandmother, Eloisa Luna. Aunts and Uncles, Johnny Arriaga, Beatrice Robles, Frank & Vergie Resendez, Narciso Garcia, Lucy Gomez. Niece, Kimberly Knotts. Richard is survived by his loving beautiful daughters, Candy Jaramillo (Paul), Genie Mendoza (Richard), Aniah "Binki" Geer. Siblings, Terry Mendoza (Daniel), Donna Hilbig, Martha Avila-Chapa, Jay Avila, Vanessa Avila. Grandchildren, Nathaniel, Ariel, Modesty, Zoe, Candice, Joshua. Aunts, Annie Partida, Gloria Garcia, Gina Miraval. Numerous cousins and a host of friends, Richard proudly served in the US Navy. Attended Dillard McCollum High School and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School. He loved barbequing, fishing, going to the coast, drinking a nice cold beer, listening to all kind of music. But most of all, he enjoyed being with his daughters and grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday October 29, 2021 at Southside Funeral Home 6301 S. Flores San Antonio, Texas 78204 from 3pm-6pm with a prayer service at 4pm. Services will conclude at 6pm. Our dear father, brother, uncle, grandfather..... God set you free... you're home.
