Richard A. Barajas Sr., went into eternal rest on February 24, 2021. Richard was born on March 4, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cosme Barajas and Rosa Mendez. Son, Ricardo Barajas Jr.. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Flores Barajas. Daughter, Denise Barajas Simpson and husband Tim; granddaughter, Persephone Simpson. Brothers, sisters, and a host of other family members and friends. Visitation will begin on Monday March 8, 2021 at Southside Funeral Home 6301 S. Flores San Antonio, Texas 78214 from 5pm-9pm with a prayer service at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 9, 2021 with a 10am chapel service at Southside Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Wildflower Cemetery.

Mr. Barajas Sr. was a loving husband, father and grandfather with a very kind heart. He worked at Fort Sam for 32 years and a great provider for his family.  He loved food and sweets, especially Peanut Butter and Jelly. He was very much a jokester and played with our Dog Louie. He loved the  Western movies  and the original Texas Ranger Walker. He is also VERY much going to be missed and loved by all of us.

Due to COVID19 Mandate, Social distancing and masks are required with a limit of 75 in the chapel.
