Raul Mata, 81, passed away on April 28th, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas.

Raul was born in Macdona, Texas to Evaristo and Guadalupe Mata on November 2nd, 1935.

Raul is preceded in death by wife Leonora Mata and Brothers and Sisters.

Raul is survived by his: Son Joe Mata (Linda) and Johnny Mata; Daughter Mary Villarreal (Reynaldo, Sr.); Brother Robert Mata; Grandchildren Rey and Anthony Villarreal and 6 other grandchildren and 8 great-Grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 at Southside Funeral Home, 6301 South Flores, San Antonio, Texas 78214. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Services will conclude at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Southside Funeral Home.
