Peggy Jean Adams McDonald went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the age of 78 years.  She was born in Luling, Texas on January 9, 1938 to Martin D. and Ruby L. Bowles Adams.  Peggy worked as a switchboard operator for the Sweeney Company.  She enjoyed reading the Bible and Movie Star Biographies.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Jean Faulkner.  Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, J.C. McDonald; daughter, Diane McDonald Rios and husband Juan; sister, Margaret Helen Reus; grandchildren, Michael Wayne McDonald, Megan Diana Faulkner, and Molly Lynn Lopez; great grandchildren, Trent McDonald, Briar Rose and wife Kylie, Chris Rose, McKenzie Lopez, and Brooklyn Lopez; nieces and nephews, Sandy Ramon, Helen Reus, Luther Reus Jr., Susie DeCento, Pam Carter and husband Farrell, Phillip Durham, and Deborah Noel.  Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Sunday, October 9th from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with services to be held at 6:30 p.m.  Peggy Jean will be cremated.
