Otilia Hernandez went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the age of 87 years. She was born in Yorktown on October 10, 1930 to Santos and Refugia Hernandez. Otilia Retired from the University Hospital System. She enjoyed going to the Lions Filed Tols and Decorative and the Palm Heights Activity Centers. Otilia was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Yvonne M. Hernandez-Forde; brother, Santos Hernandez Jr.; sister, Margaret Perez; niece, Maria Rudder; and nephew, Edward Rudder Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Richard) Gutierrez; grandchildren, Miranda Rodriguez, Luis Fernando Ramos, and John Michael Ramos; great grandchildren, Carmen, Samuel, and Serenity Rodriguez; sister, Ruth (Eddie) Rudder; son-in-law, Michael Forde. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Thursday, May 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A memorial mass will be held at a later time and date.
