Herminia "Minnie" Martinez passed away on January 31, 2015 at the age of 78. She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny G. Martinez; and son, Richard John Martinez,Sr. Minnie is survived by her children, David A. Martinez and wife Patricia, Linda R. Martinez, Daniel R. Martinez and wife Armandina; grandchildren, Crystal Martinez, Erica Martinez, Richard John Martinez,Jr.; great-grandchild, Jayden A. Cavazos; special friends of the family, Melba Cantu and Alejandra Puente; and brother, Gilbert Sanchez and wife Juanita.A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10th from 4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. A second day of visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11th from 4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. A chapel service will be held on Thursday, February 12th at 8:30 a.m. at Southside Funeral Home followed by burial at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
