Michael L. Caldwell went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 9, 2018 at the age of 62 years. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on October 1, 1955 to Omer G. and Gladys Maxey Caldwell.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of San Antonio. Michael enjoyed serving the Lord by playing the piano. He sometimes played as back up pianist for the First Baptist Church as needed. An opportunity to play the piano full time at Aldersgate United Methodist Church was offered to Michael several years ago. He accepted the offer but would not accept a salary for playing. Following the merger of Aldersgate UMC with another church his services were no longer needed and he resumed attending First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his brothers Billy (Janice) Caldwell, Eddie Caldwell Sr., and Terry Caldwell; nephews, Devin Caldwell, Eddie (Amanda) Caldwell Jr., nieces, Missy Woods and Ginger Michaud; grandnephews, Baily Tupper, Logan Tupper and Ezra Caldwell.

He will be sadly missed by his family, church families, FB friends, and his close friends Ray Sanders, Pete James, Josea Jackson and also by his beloved pets Nanuck and Dakota.
