Matthew B. Amaya went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the age of 38 years.  He was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 15, 1982.  Matthew enjoyed his job as plumber, since he was 18 years old.  He loved music and singing, fishing, wood crafting, planting trees and gardening.  Matthew is survived by his children, Angelique, Xandria, Tristan, Angel Ozzy, and Luna Marley Amaya; parents, Juan and Eloisa B. Amaya; brothers, Juan Amaya, Armando Amaya, Gustavo Amaya (Rachel), Timothy Amaya (Brittany); sisters, Magdalena (Bonnie), Amalia , Bertha and Leticia Amaya (Yolanda); also numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.  Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home chapel on Thursday, November 5th at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in Mission Burial Park South.
