Martha Ann Placido, age 55, went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. Born in San Antonio, Texas, on October 19, 1965, to Adolfo and Maria Gomez Sr., preceded in death by her parents Adolfo Sr. and Maria Gomez, father-in-law and mother-in-law Jesse and Maria Placido; brothers Steve and George Gomez Sr. Survived by her husband of 33 years, Eliot Z. Placido Sr., and son Eliot Placido Jr. (Miranda), grandson Cameron J. Placido siblings Mary Alice Reyna, Adolfo Gomez Jr., Frank Gomez, Carmen Ornelas, Pearl Cruz, Sally Trevino, Sylvia Guerrero, Mary Jane Gutierrez, Carol Reyes, Richard Gomez, Martin Gomez, and numerous nieces and nephews. Martha enjoyed making crafts and she enjoyed taking care of her grandson which was her pride and joy. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 19 , 2021 for a 10:00 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in San Jose Burial Park.
