Marie (Mara) Gonzales went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the age of 54 years. She enjoyed serving and praising the Lord, riding her bike, listening to K-Love and gardening.  Marie is survived by her children, Lisa Marie (Alfred) Medina, April Marie (Richard) Samarripas, George Michael Gonzales, and Jasmin Marie Gonzales; parents, Frank and Tomasa Gonzales; brothers, Frank (Hermelinda) Gonzales Jr., Felix (Carol) Gonzales; Joe (Angelica) Gonzalez; sister Tammy Ann (Roland) Gonzales and brother, Johnny (Terry) Gonzales; eleven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse Gonzales; nephews Jesse Alexander Gonzales and Johnny (Terry) Gonzales Jr. and niece, Lilia Angelica Gonzalez. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 28th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Second day visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29th at the Saved by Grace Church from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. A Going Home Celebration will be held at the church on Friday, March 30th at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Mission San Jose Cemetery.
