Maria Olga Garcia, 71, passed away on September 2, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas.

Maria Olga was born in Poteet, Texas to Esteban and Mariana Aldana-Gonzales on December 22, 1945. She was an Advocate of Our Lady of Guadalupe and a Sister of ACTS.

Maria Olga is preceded in death by her Parents Esteban and Mariana Aldana-Gonzales, Brothers Rudy Sanchez and Eloy Gonzales and her late Husband Jesse Mendoza-Garcia.

Maria Olga is survived by Spouse Arthur Padilla, Children Cindy Casias, Debbie Castaneda (Frank), Irma Gonzales (Saul), Mark Garcia (Sophie), 9 Step Children from her late husband, Brother James Gonzales (Rosemary) and Sister Amelia Aguirre, 11 Grandchildren and 6 great-Grandchildren, Numerous Nieces and Nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Thursday September 7, 2017 at Southside Funeral Home, 6301 South Flores Street, San Antonio, Texas 78214 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017 at St. Francis Cabrini Church, 1606 San Casimiro, San Antonio, Texas 78214. Funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II. Arrangements are entrusted to Southside Funeral Home.
