Maria Vargas Lares, 77, went home to be with the Lord on May 8, 2020.

Maria is preceded in death by her Son, Freddie DeLeon; Grandson Alfred DeLeon Jr. and Brother Santos Vargas.

Maria is survived by her Children, George DeLeon, Jr, Janie DeLeon Koch, Norma Jean DeLeon, Frank DeLeon, Maria Lopez and Lizabeth Vasquez; Siblings, Anita Terrazas, Juanita Alcala and Tomasa; 13 Grandchildren; 14 Great-Grandchildren and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Southside Funeral Home, 6301 South Flores Street, San Antonio, Texas 78214 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Services will conclude in the chapel after the Rosary.
