Maria De la Luz Casanova went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the age of 84 years. She enjoyed gardening, music, and taking long walks. Maria was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Grajeda and sister, Reyna Gonzales. She is survived by her loving husband of 57years, Samuel G. Casanova; children, Diana Gonzales and husband Roy Rodriguez, Rachel Rodriguez and husband Adolph, Irma Urquizo and husband Joe, Henry Casanova, Annie Casanova and husband Felix, Joe Richard Casanova, Robert Casanova and wife Lorraine, and Samuel Casanova, Jr.; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. A memorial services for Maria will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 17th at 5:00 p.m.
