Maria Lydia Jimenez went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the age of 91 years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family. Lydia was very involved with church fund raisers and activities at Espada Mission. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Jimenez, grandsons Alfred Paul Campos, Christopher Edward Jimenez, and Sgt. Sean H. Miles, parents Joseph and Martha DeWitt, and her siblings. Lydia is survived by her children, Alejandro Jimenez and wife Estella, Gilbert Jimenez and wife Mary Jane, Rudy Jimenez and wife Gloria, Edward Jimenez and wife Margie, Jaime Jimenez, and Corina Valadez and husband Danny; sister, Elena Pena; grandchildren, Michael, Mark, Joseph, Jacob, Adrian, Evy, Isaac, Iris, Genevieve, and Roman; fourteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Sunday, September 21st beginning at 1:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Services will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 22nd for a 10:00 a.m. mass to be celebrated at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Jose Burial Park
