Maria Pena Gomez, went into eternal rest on July 5, 2019 at the age of 92. Maria was born on August 15, 1926 in Southton, Texas. Maria is preceded in death by and is now rejoicing in the arms of her husband Elias Gomez; Son Elias Gomez, Jr; and her parents, Theodore and Hercilia Pena. Maria is survived by her sons, David Gomez, Richard Gomez(Esther). Grandchildren; Johnny Rojas, Mary Ramirez, Estella Hernandez, Juan Rojas, Anthony Rojas, Jessica Rojas, Richie Gomez, Javier Gomez. Also numerous great-grand-children, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Maria will be deeply missed by those who loved and knew her. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 17 ^th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., on Thursday, July 18 ^th for mass to be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in San Jose Burial Park.
