Margarita B. Alvarez entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 2. 2023 at the age of 85 years.  She was born in La Mesa, Texas on January 1, 1938 to Cruz and Manuel Ramos Benitez.  Margarita enjoyed crocheting and crafting.  She was preceded in death by her husband Generoso E. Alvarez in 2010.  Margarita is survived by her loving sons, Generoso Alvarez and wife Debbie, Carlos Alvarez, Mark Antonio Alvarez and wife JoAnn and Ricardo Alvarez; also numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  A visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Thursday, December 7th from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 8th at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow in San Jose Burial Park.
