Luis Antonio Villanueva Jr., 53, of San Antonio passed away on Wednesday, June 03, 2026.

He was born on November 16, 1972, in San Antonio to Luis and Irma Villanueva. Luis was known for his kindness, sense of humor, hard work, devotion to family, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by wife Barbara Villanueva thirty-two years of marriage, four children: Matthew Dominguez (Jeanette), Joshua Dominguez, Sarah Guedea (Byron), and Luis Villanueva III; nine grandchildren: Lilliana, Ariana, Abella, Alizza, Cynthia, Matteo, Olivia, Ezequiel, and Scarlett; mother Irma Villanueva, one brother Bobby Villanueva, and one sister JoAnn Villanueva, and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Luis A. Villanueva Sr., and brother Christopher Villanueva.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 08, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Southside Funeral Home.

Luis will be remembered for passion for fishing, especially with his family, and for being an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
