Josefina T. Vergara went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 13, 2024 at the age of 83 years.  She was born in Eagle Pass, Texas on June 25, 1940 to Jesus and Josefa Tovar.  Josefina was a very happy and cheerful person, who would light up a room with her smile.  She loved watching football, basketball and her novelas.  Josefina was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Josefa Tovar and brothers, Juan Antonio Tovar Jr., Jesus Gilberto Tovar and Jesus Tovar, Jr.  She is survived by her loving children, Marielena Tovar Escobedo and Jesus Gilberto Vergara and his wife Velia; sisters, Maria Esther Garcia, Luz Angelica Rodriguez and husband Esteban; Graciela Tovar Mendiola and husband Richard; also numerous nieces and nephews.  Visitation for Josefina will be held on Friday, May 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Services will conclude Friday evening.
