Josefina Varela went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 22, 2015 at the age of 53 years. She is survived by her partner, Terry Garcia; daughter, Diana Viveros and husband Vincent Gonzalez; grandchildren, Adrian and Jazlynn Gonzalez; sisters, Diana Christie and Sylvia DeBaca; special friends, Mona Mendoza and Stella Souffle; also several nieces and nephews. A memorial mass for Josefina will be held on Wednesday, July 1st in El Paso, Texas at the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church at 6:00 p.m.
