Our beloved mother, Josefa Brisita, born on May 8th, 1932 in Carrizal, Dominican Republic, passed away peacefully at home on May 2nd, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 91. She moved to New York City in 1965 with her family, where she was a seamstress until her retirement. Josefa is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose Brisita, and her granddaughter, Cathylee Santiago.

She is survived by her 8 children, Pascual and his wife Maria; Maximo and his wife Marcia; Miguelina; Rafael and his wife Francia; Justina and her husband Raymond; Juan and his wife Joselyn; Mildred; and Miguel and his wife Marty. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren and their spouses, and 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation in her name.

No service will be held in San Antonio. Service will be held in Carrizal, the Dominican Republic where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
