Jose H. Morales, born to Benigno Morales and Paula Escobedo
,
raised by Alicia Escobedo due to the early demise of both his parents,
entered into Heaven on June 9, 2016 at the age of 83. Jose was born on July 8, 1932 in Laredo, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Sandra Morales; siblings Benny Morales, Oscar Morales, Cuca Navarro and Rafaela Gonzalez. He is survived by his Loving wife of almost 61 years, Dolores C. Morales; children Aida Robledo, Nora Morales, Jose H. Morales, Jr. and his wife Margaret, Michael Morales and Mark Anthony Morales; sister Francis Fernandez; grandchildren Nick and his wife Rosa, Adrian and his wife Yvette, Geneva, Natalie and her husband Mark, Joseph, Jessica and Erica. Jose was blessed with his great grand children Nick Julian, Jacinda, Justin, Makayla, Isabel, Aidan, Xavier and one on the way Julian expected to arrive in late June/early July; adopted grandchildren Angel, Frankie, Mary Jane, Rafael and Elijah; extended family members Steven Rios, Manuel Hinojosa as well as many more in Laredo, TX. Jose served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War and also worked for the City of San Antonio for 30 years. Jose will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. His fam

begin receiving visitors on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Southside Funeral Home at 6pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7pm. A procession will depart the funeral home on Monday, June 13 at 9:30am for a 10am mass at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church at 1214 Stonewall. Interment will follow at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery II, where Military Honors will be rendered
