Jose M. Gonzalez entered into Heaven on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at the age of 78. He was born to Daniel Gonzalez and Dionicia Maldonado on March 3, 1941 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Alfonso, Leopoldo and Manuel Gonzalez. Jose is survived by his wife of 49 years, Francisca Gonzalez, their children Alejandro Barboza and wife Selene, and Jacqueline Gonzalez. Jose was also blessed with his grandchildren Maribel, Daniel and Angela. He is also survived by his siblings Daniel Gonzalez, Maria and Felipa.

Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 5pm-9pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7pm. Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019 for Mass to be celebrated at St. Lawrence Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in San Jose Burial Park.
