Jorge Alejandro Ortega went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 21, 2017 at the age of 46 years. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 22, 1971 to Jorge and Griselda Ortega. Jorge was preceded in death by his son Joshua Alejandro Ortega; paternal grandparents Carlos Ortega and Maria Martinez; maternal grandparents Cornelio Gallegos and Felicitas Alvarez; He is survived by his parents Griselda and Jorge Ortega, Wife Lorraine Garza, Children Angel Alejandro (Susana) Ortega, Xavier Alejandro (Christina) Ortega, Isaiah Alejandro Ortega; Sisters Maria (Jose Luis) Barrera and Patricia (Leandro) Ortega Marin as well as his grandchildren Zayden Joshua Ortega and Athena Danielle Ortega. Jorge was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 25th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26th for Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Jose Burial Park.
