With heavy hearts we announce that Johnny F. Hernandez, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 82 years old. Johnny was born on November 20, 1942, in Poteet, Texas. Johnny loved playing baseball when he was young. In time he enjoyed shooting pool. He is survived by his wife Esperanza "Hope" Hernandez, children Becky, Evie, and Johnny, brother Roger Solis, sisters Rosa Antu and Margarita Rodriguez, also, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Anna Marie Hernandez, and his mother Elivra Garcia, siblings Olga Torres, Estevan Soliz Jr., Ray Soliz, Hector Soliz, and Andrew Soliz.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Southside Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
