John Robert Teter, born on March 19, 1952 in Baton Rouge, Louisianna to parents Samuel R. Teter and Jessie Smith,  went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of seventy-two.

John was a God-fearing man, who dedicated his life to working hard to be able to provide for his wife and children. If he were not serving his church, you could find John reading, listening to music, drinking a chocolate shake, or watching football; cheering on the Pittsburg Steelers. Most of all, John adored his grandchildren, and loved to spend time with them the most.

John is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joni Teter. Their three children; Emily Allen (Bill Allen), Scott Teter (Edisa Teter), John Teter (Mary Teter), grandchildren; Seth Teter, Calliegh Allen, Aria Teter, Colton Allen, Hazel Teter, Elyana Teter, two sisters; Sally Zimmerman and Wendy Osmun (David Osmun).

Along with numerous other family members and friends.

Preceding John in death are his parents; Samuel Teter and Jessie Teter, brother-in-law; Edward Zimmerman
