With heavy hearts we announce the passing of John Clyde Higgins Jr, who went into eternal rest on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 84 years old. John was born on November 11, 1940 to his parents John Clyde Higgins Sr. and Blanche Okey, in Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. John was an avid fantasy football fan. He was a passionate collector of motorcycles. He cherished his family and the time spent with them. He is survived by his three children: Timothy Norman Higgins (Linda Marie), Zechariah Z. Higgins (Carol), and Leah Higgins; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, sisters Shirley Maykuth and Amy Higgins, also, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter June Armstrong, and two sons Michael and Jonathan Higgins.

A visitation will be held at Southside Funeral home on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m.  A graveside service will be held on Monday May 19, 2025 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m.
