John Russell Evers entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at the age of 66 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Naomi Evers. John loved DJing at KSYM at San Antonio College, looked forward to vacations at South Padre Island, going to Gloria's for the holidays and family gatherings. He is survived by his Guardian Rosie Gonzalez (Candelario Jr.) and family Sonia, Monica Gonzalez, Martha Hernandez and daughter Arianna Gonzalez; Longtime Caregiver Gloria Martinez and family. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Southside Funeral Home, 6301 S. Flores St., San Antonio, Texas 78214 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Graveside Service at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
