Joe Natal Etienne went home and is now resting with Our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the age of 83 years. He enjoyed bowling and gardening. Joe loved spending time with his family and dearly loved his grandchildren. Joe and his wife, Minnie were inseparable. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Etienne. Joe is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 59 years, Hermenia "Minnie"; daughters, Cynthia Vest and husband Mike, Sandra Johnson and husband Randy; grandchildren, Randall Edward Johnson and wife Leslie, Jennifer Dugosh and husband Michael; great grandchildren, Julianne and Emilee Johnson, Annie Lee and Waylon Dugosh; sisters, Nancy Cunningham and husband Gene, Nora Acosta; also nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 20 th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Thursday, April 21 st at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please give a memorial in Joe's name to the Audie L. Murphy V.A. Hospital.
