Jose "Joe" Rincon Charo, Jr. was called from home to be with the Lord on the sandy beaches of heaven on January 31, 2014. Joe was a man with a strong opinion and often expressed that opinion to everyone. Although a God fearing man, he was not a perfect man. Most people loved him or disliked him, sometimes both at the same time. He labored hard as a welder for over 35 years supporting his family of ten. One of his greatest accomplishments was to be sure each of his children graduated from high school and sought some form of higher education whether in book studies or in life's experiences. Joe was an avid fisherman and loved the Texas gulf coast. He would go fishing anytime he had the chance to get away. If you would have asked him how many times had been to a movie theater in his life time he would have probably answered not many. Television on the other hand was often marathon weekends of James Bond, Clint Eastwood and John Wayne western movies. Joe would have family barbecues just about every Sunday rain or shine. This was his time to get the family together to appreciate what we have in our lives. Like he would say "You don't have friends you only have FAMILY." The viewing will be on Monday, February 3, 2014, 5 - 9 p.m. at Southside Funeral Home, 6301 S. Flores St., San Antonio, TX 78214.
