Joann "Baby Doll" Stelzig went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the age of 69 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Stelzig, Sr.; daughter, Cynthia Ann Cowart; brother, Ervin Breiten; and grandson, Richard Ryan Stelzig. Baby Doll is survived by her sons, Erwin "Bubie" Stelzig and Herbert "Beaver" Stelzig and wife Jennifer; son-in-law, Jeffery N. Cowart; sisters, Ruth Hollis, Janie Ramos, and Carol Egnew and husband Ronnie; grandchildren, Debbie Gomez, Erwin "Bubie" Stelzig, Jr. and wife Shawnasey, Nolan Stewart, Bradley, Chance, and Deven Stelzig; also eight great grandchildren. She loved bingo, driving tow trucks, classic country and singing. She was the heart of Bubie's Wrecker Service which she founded in 1981, working as dispatch along side her son. She was known as "Baby Doll". Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Friday, October 18th from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with prayer services to be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will depart the funeral home on Saturday, October 19th at 10:00 a.m., for graveside services to be held at San Jose Burial Park.
