Jimmy Calderon Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the age of 57 years.  He was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 9, 1961 to Juan and Cecilia Calderon.  Jimmy loved helping the senior citizens in the apartment complex where he lived.  He is survived by his son, Jimmy Calderon Jr.; sisters, Gloria Hernandez, Rosa Garcia and husband Carlos; brothers, George Calderon and wife Debbie, Robert Calderon; grandson, Joshua Calderon, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.  Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Thursday, February 21st from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 22nd for Mass to be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at El Carmen Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at El Carmen Catholic Cemetery.
