J.C. McDonald went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the age of 87 years.  He was born in Yorktown, Texas on May 18, 1931 to Harvey and Estella McDonald. He enjoyed hunting, playing card games, dominoes and was a checkers champion, he also enjoyed watching the old western movies.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Jean Adams McDonald; daughter, Laura Jean Faulkner; sisters, Ruby, Lola and Dot; Brothers, James and Charles.  J.C. is survived by his daughter, Diane McDonald Rios and husband Juan; grandchildren, Michael Wayne and wife (Michelle) McDonald, Megan Diane Faulkner, and Molly Lynn and husband (Jason) Lopez; great grandchildren, Briar Rose and wife Kylie, Chris Rose, Trenton McDonald, McKenzie Rose Lopez, Brooklyn Lopez, Grace Lopez, Remington Isabella Faulkner; Great-Great granddaughter, Malena Rose. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Saturday, June 23 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with services to be held at 5:00 p.m.  J.C. will be cremated. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 1:45 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
