Janie Chavarria passed away on January 25, 2014 at the age of 65. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Jose Chavarria. Janie is survived by her mother, Ophelia Romero Flores; sisters, Margaret Vaughn and husband Harland and Emma Favela; daughters, Diana Garza and Kimberley Lee; also numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. On Thursday, January 30th, a procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery III.
