James Louis Meyer Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the age of 86 years.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Meyer; son, James "Bubba" Meyer Jr.; and daughter, Linda Jane Adams.  James is survived by his daughters, Deanna Castleberry and husband Randy, Diana Sterner and husband Jody; son-in-law, Jimmy "Dibs" Adams; grandchildren, Kim, Jennifer, James III, Kayla, Breanna and Brandi; great grandchildren, Alex, Leilani, Jaden, Keiley, Zane, James IV, Brant, Charles, Charlotte, Beaudee and Beau; sister, Helen Memmen.  Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Thursday, October 7th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 8th at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at San Fernando III Cemetery.
