Isabel S. Montano's Obituary
Isabel S. Montano was called home by Our Lord on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the age of 68 years. She was born in Sabinal, TX and was eight years old when her family moved to Helotes. Isabel was a graduate of John Marshall High School and San Antonio College. She was a Social Worker for Headstart and also worked at San Antonio College. Isabel was a member of the Guadalupana's Society at St. Leonard's Catholic Church. She was a member of the Star Trek and John Wayne Fan Clubs. Isabel was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Anastacia Sandoval; sister, Margaret Sarabia; brother, Henry F. Sandoval. She is survived by her husband, Jose Rufino Montano; sisters, Josephine Sandoval Serros, Rosenda S. (Richard) Ramirez; sister in law, Josie Sandoval and also numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Thursday, November 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3rd, for mass to be held at 9:30 a.m. at St. Leonard's Catholic Church, where services will conclude. The family would like to thank her caregiver, Violeta DeLaRosa, Hunters Pond Healthcare Center and Hospice Complete Care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Leonard's Catholic Church.
