Irma Almaguer Meza, loving mother, wife and grandmother, entered into rest on Saturday,January 4, 2014 at the age of 75 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arturo and Ester Almaguer, siblings, Esther Almaguer, Arthur, Alice Trevino and Elva (Cookie) Almaguer. Irma worked for the City of San Antonio for 23 years in the San Antonio Housing Authority Division and was an active Member of the Friendship Church. Survivors include loving husband, Rodolfo, son, Curtis Campos and wife Christina, daughter, Yolanda Mena, brothers, Alejandro and Hector Almaguer, sister, Mary Mercer, grandchildren, Jacob Michael Campos, Jennifer Nicole Mena, Andrew (A.J.) Mena, Jr.,great grandchildren, Nathaniel C. Mena, Mariam Garay, Hector Garay,III. Also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will be receiving visitors on Tuesday,at 12 Noon at Southside Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Southside Funeral Home with Pastor Cook officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Following the burial, Pastor Warren Cook will be speaking at a BBQ luncheon from 1-2 p.m.
