Inocencia Alvarez went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the age of 96 years. She was born on December 28, 1920 to Ignacio and Beatrice Ramirez Olivarez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julio Sanchez Alvarez. Inocencia is survived by her children, Amelia (Nick) Recio, Joseph (Virginia) Alvarez, Oralia Huron, Ern Maria Alvarez, Diana (Michael Sr.), Raul "Tony" Alvarez; Sister, Aurora Aguilar; 21 Grandchildren; 40 Great-Grandchildren; Numerous great-great-grandchildren. Inocencia loved to picture painting, gardening, sewing, loved reading the bible and praying, she was very devoted to her Christianity, and she was also a very good cook. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Southside Funeral Home Chapel at 6301 S. Flores San Antonio, TX 78214. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Southside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Southside Funeral Home.
