In great sadness we announce the passing of Ignacio F. Salazar. who entered his eternal resting place on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 70 years of age. Ignacio was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 09, 1955, to his parents Dolores and Ignacio G. Salazar. Ignacio was very passionate about art. He loved arts and crafts, and drawing. He was also a very big animal lover. Ignacio is survived by his two sisters Christine Leyva (Joe), and Irma Delgado; one brother Andrew Salazar (Cindy), numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Shadow. He was preceded in death by his parents Ignacio G. and Dolores Salazar.

A viewing will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 08, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.

A funeral mass at St. Leo's Catholic church will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 9:30 a.m., and interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with honors will be at 11:15 a.m. at shelter #2.
