Guadalupe G. Esquivel went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the age of 83 years. She was born July 25, 1934 in San Antonio, TX to Rodolfo and Julia Garcia.  Guadalupe was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ignacio Esquivel in 1980; granddaughter, Monique Z. Sanchez; sisters, Ramona G. Ortiz and Felicitas Torres; brother, Rodolfo Garcia.  She is survived by her children, Yolanda Sanchez, Rodolfo Sanchez, Venancia Wolfe, Esmeralda (Paul) Mares, Ignacio (Jennifer) Esquivel, Mirasol Davila (Doyle Rice), Jesus Ortiz; brother, Felipe (Connie) Garcia; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Monday, June 11th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12th for Mass to be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
