On December 22,2024, Gloria Aurora Cantu, age 85, went peacefully to be with the Lord. She was a dedicated and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Gloria was born on October 9,1939 in San Antonio Texas, where she grew up and lived a fulfilled life.

Gloria was gifted by the Lord in many ways. She loved to sing, quilt, sew, and create floral designs. She enjoyed the outdoors, and spending time fishing, working in the yard, and used any excuse to barbecue.
Most importantly, she loved people unconditionally and shared her heart with many. Gloria had a strong faith, as she would say "I love Jesus with all my heart, soul and mind." (Matthew 22:37) If she saw a homeless person while driving around, she would pick them up to order food at a drive-through, and then drop them off with a warm meal. Gloria had compassion for those in need.
Gloria's many interests expanded into her work as well. She was a housewife, a cosmetics associate at Dillard's, and a floral arranger. She also was the founder, co-owner, and manager for Cantu's Grocery Corner. She welcomed all who walked through the doors and was warm, inviting and spoke kind words that empowered them. It was more than a business, it was a place where a beautiful vibrant woman could love her community.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, however she is now in the presence of the Lord…"Well done good and faithful servant". (Matthew 25:21).
