Gilberto DeLeon went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 19, 2015 at the age of 86 years. He was born in Peggy, Texas on May 12, 1929. Gilberto was employed as a Crane Operator for Yantis Construction Company for many years. He was preceded in death by his son, Joe DeLeon and his parents, Pablo and Gregoria Davila. Gilberto is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Oralia Lerma DeLeon; sons, Gilberto DeLeon Jr., Arthur DeLeon and wife Sandra, Alex DeLeon; daughters, Yolanda Gonzalez and husband John, Ida Dillard and husband Larry; brother, Antonio Davila; sister, Amelia Sotello and husband Santos; 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Southside Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 21st from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
